Emerald Bay Resort Marina, Exuma, a 23-acre resort and deep-water Marina with an average basin depth of 15 feet, was designed to be a premium marina for yachts up to 225- 275 feet in length. The marina was planned as a private yacht club for members of The Club at Emerald Bay, a community comprised of residences on an additional 470 acres of land and a Four Seasons Resort and club, including facilities for transient and charter yachts with slips obtainable on an as-available basis.

To become a part of this resort and marina community, owners offered the purchase of a social and slip membership or just a slip membership, with both wet and dry slips available. Even a transient slip entitled the slip holder the use of various member benefits, such as transportation to and from the marketplace and the Four Seasons Resort, bellman service for provisions, dockside yacht dining and specialty catering and concierge services.

MARINA UTILITIES AND INTERNATIONAL WORK

Marina Utilities provided all marina systems –standpipe systems, water, sewer, electric for the two phases, with Phase I including 47 slips and Phase II 103 slips. Additionally, Marina Utilities provided landside work including backflow preventers to feed the fire protection system.

The firm also employed local Bahamians providing jobs and onsite training of staff. Training included the operation of equipment and systems and training in possible future repairs, and Marina Utilities specified, procured and transported all necessary materials for future use.
